Mining
Operations
We own equity or operating interests in six nickel
mines, one of which is currently inactive. Since commercial
operations began in 1975, we have delivered almost 35
million wet tones of saprolite and limonite ore to
our customers. We also own a 6% interest in CBNC,
the owner of the Coral Bay HPAL facility located adjacent
to the Rio Tuba mine. The facility derives 100% of
its ore feed from stockpiles at the Rio Tuba mine. We also have advanced plans to develop a new HPAL plant adjacent to our Taganito Mine. This will be in joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd., and our intended stake in the project is 20-30%

Our properties comprise equity and operating interests in
six nickel mines and an effective 6% equity interest in the
Coral Bay HPAL nickel processing facility. Our interests in
the mines are: |

a 60% equity interest in the Rio Tuba mine, which supplies stockpiled limonite ore to the Coral Bay HPAL facility located adjacent to the mine, produces saprolite and limonite ore for shipment to customers in Japan and China; |

a 65% equity interest in the Taganito mine and a 100% operating interest in the Cagdianao mine, which produce saprolite and limonite ore for shipment to customers in Japan and China; |

a 100% equity interest the Taganaan mine, which produces saprolite and limonite ore for shipment to customers in China; |
| x |
| |
• |
a 100% operating interest in the South Dinagat mine, which produces saprolite ore for shipment to customers in Japan; |

a 100% equity interest in the Manicani mine, whose limonite and saprolite mining operations are currently suspended. |
