Welcome
to Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC), the largest nickel mining
company in the Philippines today. NAC owns a majority share
of six mining operations throughout the Philippines. The Company
also controls a 10% equity interest in the Coral Bay HPAL
facility at Rio Tuba in the Philippines. The principal business
of NAC involves selling nickel laterite ore to customers in
Japan, China and the Philippines. In 2007, NAC delivered
over 5.0 million dry metric tonnes of nickel ore containing 73,500
tonnes of nickel metal to the Coral Bay HPAL facility, Pacific Metals Co. Ltd. of Japan, and to various customers in China.
NAC
currently operates five different mining properties. These
are Taganito, Cagdianao, South Dinagat, Taganaan and Rio Tuba.
The oldest of the five mine sites, Rio Tuba, has been in operations
for over 30 years. NAC has a sixth property in Manicani Island,
which is currently under care and maintenance. |
